The ease of renting. The value of owning.
A new way to access equipment without having to choose between renting and buying.
Because a good drawing is better than a thousand words, start with our short video to see how Fairflex Loop works.
Use it. Return it. Keep the value.
Fairflex Loop is launching through local partners, beginning in Sri Lanka. Availability will depend on the local partner network.
Imagine you want to use a surfboard with a reference value of $320.
The daily usage fee is $10. That means one complete cycle consists of 32 days of use.
To access the board, you pre-fund $320.
Each day you use the board, $10 is deducted from this amount as your usage fee. And each day of use also corresponds to one position in the board’s cycle.
The system keeps track of how long you use the board, how much you pay, and which positions are associated with you.
You decide to use the board for 10 days. After 10 days, $100 has been used for your usage fees, leaving $220.
If you return the board in good condition, the $220 is returned to you.
You keep the 10 positions created through your use.
When those positions are later transferred to other users, the value collected is transferred to you with 25% allocated as a system contribution to sustain and support the Loop.
For example, if those positions are transferred for $100, you receive $75 and your net cost for 10 days of use is $25, or $2.50 per day.
The users who acquire your positions can later transfer them to other users under the same Fairflex Loop rules, allowing the value created through use to continue moving from one user to another.
Make your board more attractive. Give buyers more than a simple purchase: give them the possibility to use the board first and retain value from their use.
Get rid of the hassle. Leaving at the end of your trip? Don’t spend your last days finding a buyer, negotiating or accepting less than you think your board is worth.
Leave your board. We take care of the rest.
Traditionally, you have two choices: buy or rent.
Buy a board, and you may discover that it isn’t the right one for you — and later face the hassle of reselling it. Rent a board, and you pay for your time with it. When you return it, your spending simply ends there.
Fairflex Loop offers another possibility.
You can try before you buy, giving you time to discover whether the board is really right for you.
If you want to use it and then move on, you can retain value from your use. Your positions remain yours after you return the board, allowing you to recover part of what you spent when they are later transferred, according to the Fairflex Loop rules.
This can make your net cost lower than a traditional rental, while avoiding much of the uncertainty and hassle of buying and reselling.
You can create value from equipment without having to invest in owning it.
You provide the local presence the system needs — storage, handovers, returns, care and support — and are compensated for the services and activity you help generate.
Fairflex Loop works through local partners who provide a physical place for equipment to be stored, collected and returned.
We are starting in Sri Lanka, where our first local network is being developed.
As local partners join the network, Fairflex Loop can expand to other surf destinations and, over time, to other locations and types of equipment.
One local hub at a time.
